Zine Team & Badge Making

FREE EVENT - drop in, no ticket required

Prestwich Library is hosting a free, crazily creative morning! Drop in between 10am and 12pm to create your own zine or badge. Free event - all welcome! All ages welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Zine Team:

Join Prue's Art for a morning of zine making. In this free drop-in event you'll be encouraged to think about what 'home' means to you. It could be family, your garden, a park, friends or the best bit of Prestwich - anything goes! You'll learn how to fold and cut an A4 zine - a mini 8 page magazine - which you can cover with your own designs. You can also add to a couple of larger zines we'll work on together to focus on everything we love about Prestwich. All materials proved including oodles of collage materials. 

Prue is an artist that focuses figurative drawing and oil painting. She graduated in fine art after which she was involved in projects to make art accessible to children. She strongly believes that the world needs creative thinkers and problem solvers - what better way to achieve this that to fan the flames of children's natural curiosity and creativity.

Badge making:

My name's Kieran and I'm an award winning creator and artist based in Salford. I'm running a badge-making workshop at Prestwich Arts Festival and would love for you to join! In my day to day life I am a freelance graphic designer, but I love designing and illustrating badges and keychains to sell online, so I'm bringing that fun to you!
